Kristina Tepić

MFT Intern
she/her

Kristina provides a calm, empathetic, and accepting space in the therapy room. She encourages clients to show up as their authentic selves and to place trust in not only the therapeutic process, but in themselves, too. Kristina works collaboratively with clients to create goals, ideas, and hope for the future.

She believes that everyone has the ability to change. As a therapist, Kristina pays attention to patterns and beliefs that hold clients back from creating the change they want to see in their lives. She takes on a positive, strengths-based approach to motivate and support clients in achieving the outcomes they want out of therapy.

Kristina has a bachelor’s degree from Elmhurst University where she worked in research and studied psychology, communication, and social work. Kristina has a background in ABA therapy and working with children on the autism spectrum. She is currently earning her master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy at Adler University. She also has introductory training on perinatal mental health and is passionate about this line of work.

Kristina is a bilingual therapist and is comfortable doing therapy in both English and Serbian. She looks forward to working with individuals, children, and families through various life transitions such as separation, divorce, and coparenting. She has a special interest in working within the Balkan community and unpacking intergenerational trauma, immigration, and cultural identity. In her free time, Kristina enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, and trying out new restaurants in the city!
