she/her
My relational approach to therapy is collaborative and guided by compassion, understanding, and meaning. I believe that each path to healing is unique, and I draw from a holistic blend of approaches to provide appropriate treatment. It takes courage and resilience to process difficult emotions, sit with grief and painful experiences, or face confusion. My priority in session is to offer a supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experience safely and without overwhelm while finding a meaningful path forward. My aim is to be an ally along each client’s unique journey and facilitate curiosity, present-moment awareness, and self-compassion.
As a 1.5-generation American (an individual who immigrated as a child), I draw from my own experiences to understand the challenges faced by individuals navigating intersectional identities, displacement, intergenerational trauma, and humanistic or existential issues. I am interested in how culture and spirituality inform a person’s understanding of themselves, and I believe that expanding one’s self-concept naturally leads to change and empowerment. I am interested in working with anyone who would like to improve their relationships and well-being or deepen their understanding of their place in this world.
I have almost 4 years of experience in social services and am currently completing my low-residency master’s degree in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. I have completed an Online Circle Certificate Program in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) through the IFS Institute and my academic journey at Naropa has provided me with specific training in Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness-Based approaches, and meditation.
Prior to my work in the helping professions, I had the privilege of working in the film industry with a special focus in documentary production. My professional background informs my appreciation of creativity, imagination, experimentation, and process-oriented out-of-the-box thinking, and I look forward to bringing these qualities to my work as I step more fully into my role as a clinician and develop my own authentic approach to healing work.
